Fraud, tax scam number. Called hmrc myself and they said its a scam

This number keeps ringing my mobile several times over the last two days, when answering nobody speaks there is a blip then nothing.

called Canadian # to try to sell stock trading services and just wouldn't take 'No' for an answer. The guy with moderate slavic/middle eastern blended accent insisted that trading stocks have no risk. That I'm not interested in that game at this time just wasn't accepted and I had to hang up to end the call when he was pushing to have me speak with a trader. As if I will take such a gamble with a cold call from overseas.

'Chris' told me he was from a Claims Company based in Truro and he was calling about a previous ppi claim that I had been underpaid for. He was quite convincing giving me the company reg no & address so I could confirm he was legit! He knew my address/DOB and the details of my previous claim. The Claims Company only has 2 employees, neither based in London! Definitely a scam beware as he was very convincing and never asked for bank details! He called back today, probably for bank details - I didn't

I rang the number from a different phone to the one they called and reached a recorded message saying it was First Call Group or something similar, and advising to send them an e-mail with phone and e-mail details so they wouldn't contact me again. I've added the number to my blocked list on my mobile and left it at that.

Vast majority of calls to my aged mothers landline are these silent calls or marketing.

Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. That when I realised it was a scam and they needed my account details which they did not get.

Said they were from Microsoft Corporation and that they had detected an issue with my operating system. I said I would call them back. I then called Microsoft UK Customer Services who said this was not a call from Microsoft and was a scam call
