Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

Caller with foreign accent said she was from BT and that there was something wrong with my internet. I said it was fine and hung up.
Utilities They said they were from BT. Starting asking about my internet. Asked if I had given my password to anybody other than family as during the times of midnight to 2am there has been unusual activity. All sounds a bit dodgy. I hung up at that point.
PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.....When I answered several months ago the "indian" sounding lady at the other end simply said "we are coming to your house this evening to kill you...what do you think about that?".....I put the phone down...THE POLICE are totally helpless in cases like this...apparently this company is NOT breaking any laws!!!...DO NOT ANSWER....they rang me again today which went unanswered...which proves their stupidity...but then it comes as not surprise!
