The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. scammer claiming to be from either CAB or FCA don t answer & block right away - a friend got a call & asked for her by name she said hang on I ll go get her, she then put the fone down & just left then hanging hoping to run up their bill but they are managing to reverse call dial & SHE ended up with huge bill so defo cost trap block no. asap!!!

Received email stating that I had an unpaid invoice from a company that I hadn't done business with in two years.

I am the first to comment but I notice I m the 176th person who has tried to find out of this is a dodgy scam/marketing call. I would say the chances are quite high that it is. Let your telephone do the work. If there is no voicemail left then there is no urgency to speak with them!

CALLED 9-30 AM , TODAY-SILENCE FOR ONE MINUTE , THEN I PUT THE RECEIVER DOWN.

I had somebody come to the house and quote me on new windows. They said that they were doing a discount because of some government scheme but after quoting me a ridiculous price the salesman informed me that the discount was suddenly going to run out and that I had about 24 hours to agree to buy the windows. The person who came to the house was very polite but the company don t have a good reputation, and the prices are ridiculous, I d recommend not answering.
