This caller persistently calls my number. I dont answer phone but do not recognise the number. Can I block them. ??

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. I did have a minor knock 1 year ago and I keep being hassled by them and told that if I don t claim 2 - 3 thousands pounds the 3rd party will, against me. will talk to my insurers and I will continue to ignore them.
