This number called 6 times in less than 2 hours. Did not know number so didn t answer. When I phoned the number back, somebody answered with just "Hello", did not announce company name but lot of background noise. Definitely some sort of scam.

I received a call from someone on this number. They claimed to be from BT, I am with Virgin but he claimed that BT support Virgin. He told me that my IP address has been tracked and made public. I cut him off there and told him I thought this was a scam. He said that I could check out his credentials by calling a phone number, I put the phone down.

Had 20+ calls so far today - SCAM Says BT are going to cut off internet because of fraud and asks you to push 1 or 3 (which will enable them to use your phone for high cost calls).

SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. My solution is to leave my BT Aura answering machine on receive, and note my caller display before picking up the phone...... my friends wait to see if I answer, and knowing that all Incoming recorded messages are completely garbled and indecipherable, and that I will use 1471 and ring them back when I m available, they don t waste their time and money trying to leave a message. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 08437132xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range? Don't call them back, it can be very expensive.
