SCAM On asking for the lady of the house by name and I said she wasn't available but could I help they hung up. On phoning the number back I was informed that it does not exist.
26 Feb 2021 - Since my partner and I applied for UC we have had numerous unwanted calls...this time it was a man saying his name was Steve ..... (inaudible )...wanted to talk about job support. Didn t recognise the number, so didn t answer, caller left no message. If it was a genuine call they they would have, wouldn t they, so probably a junk call.
Had 2 attempts to see if they could take money. Then 3rd transaction they took $107.73AU. Bank is investigating, was at work whilst this happened and also in Australia, not England...

Woman advised she was from Virgin Media, believed to be a scam.
Slightly Indian sounding Woman called "Len" claiming to be from BT and asking for an email address to send information to. When I ask for her email address so I could allow it through our spam filters, she repeated she wanted my email address. I repeated I wanted her email address... she hung up. Time-wasting idiots, We don t even have any BT lines.

I then asked if he knew English and he said no. From here I released something ain t right. I immediately googled the number he gave and read the previous comment. If u are called do not take this seriously.

Ridiculous, very noisy in the background, insisted that he needed to speak to the business owner about our electricity. When i asked if it was a sales call, he said no, it's about a complaint from the national grid!! I told him to email us if that's the case, he laughed and said ma'am why are you joking with me - I said then what do you want and he replied you're very clever, I said thanks and hung up

I have just had a call from a lady from 01704 222222 claiming to work for Albany Assist and wanting to talk to me about the non fault accident I have had in the last two and a half years. I told her I hadn’t had one and the call ended. Reported to the real Albany Assist as per the request in this thread. Interesting that if you call the number back no one answers. Caller was a scouse female.

just answer and play along....tell them to hold for a sec while u get ur documents and then just sit ur phone down and continue with wat u wer doing....this will at least cost them a few quid...

Claims to be from Hermes, said they attempted delivery at 5AM. Word for word, he message is the same as the one printed in the paper about a phishing scam.
