The HMRC scam has been around so long it has lost all its hair! Disconnect and block the number.

If you use an insurance comparison site, they will pass your number on to The Claims Guys, who will pester you with calls about reclaiming PPI payments. Use this number on the comparison site to give them a taste of their own medicine, and prevent them from ringing you.

Just found this number on phone when I came home from shopping I am waiting for a personal call was checking to see if it was a scam call and wanted to check before I dialled9

Want me to answer some questions which i never do over the phone. Didn't get name as he spoke too fast with a terrible accent.

Subcontinental-sounding told me I needed a box to stop nuisance calls - two pounds fifty a month for three years! Caller Display does it much cheaper and I don t usually answer calls from 0845- numbers. Curious this time.

Just had a stupid young boy breathing heavily down the phone and then he asked if I was the home owner. Then he said "wrong number" and put the phone down.

rang asking for my 98 year old mother, fortunately I answered. Said from "energy Trust" based in Hereford Talked about renewable energy,solar panelsetc.Said not interested twice and when I asked him to remove phone number from list he hung up.

Don’t recognise this number

Keeps phoning to speak to my wife about a car accident she had over 2 years ago. She was not injured and the car was repaired under a claim that was fully settled by her insurers but these people insist on harassing her to a point that my wife gets upset each time. I spoke to George at Insure me online. He was actually very professional, and it was to do with a life insurance enquiry that I made online. I did tell him about me Googling his number as I didn t recognise it, and we had a bit a joke about why I would spend my time searching for his number, when it s so much easier to just pick up the phone. ...anyway, he seemed like a nice chap, so my advice to anyone else is just to pick up the phone and see what he has to say.
