Very persistent if they don t get a response. Try to call at all times of the day,evening and weekends. Either block the number, or answer to get rid of them. If you don t the phone will keep ringing. I have a truecall unit (from www truecall. co uk) so these harrassers simply get a messsage not to call again. Shouldnt have to pay money to stop these calls though in my opinion.
Somebody just called asked my name and when i said Yes that me they hanged up.

Some one called me on the number saying they are calling about a sunlife policy which i do not have, i tried to tell them i don't have a policy and told me to f off, very nice ... this is a market research number...
This Number Belongs to Lloyds banking group, i was Sceptical to start with but rang my bank (Lloyds) to confirm the persons name and he IS part of Lloyds Group Customer Services.

SCAM Coputer voice said they were BT and there was suspicious activity on our phone line and they were going to disconnect it. Press 1 for ? or Press 2 to speak to someone about it. As we have not been a BT customer for nearly a year and do not use there phone line. We are with Virgin that does not use BT lines. It was a scam ! I did not press any number as it would probably cost us money. This company have 100's of numbers under the same prefix and change every last numbers every few day.

Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

When asked for details was referred to her supervisoor Aran, who got increasingly short with me, then wanted to take control of my computer to show me. Apparently my connection will be cut in 1 hour. I ve been getting constant calls from this number which have gone "dead" when I pick up for weeks. Yesterday they finally told me they were from Vodaphone and my number was one of their numbers so they needed it back. They needed to move me to their contract. When I said it had never been a Vodaphone number they then said would anyone else I know be interested!
