PPI/Bank Charges claim company. Latest one is Endowment Policies. Aside from just hanging up, I find the best course of action with these guys is to just lie to them. Give them made-up details so they waste their time with fruitless nonsense. Tell them you paid PPI on a Swiss bank account with ?10m in funds given to you by a Nigerian prince. Keep calm and tell absurd lies, and this kind of call actually starts to be a lot of fun!

Kept calling frequently and hanging up or dead line upon answer - finally got a female asking to speak with DH about previous Boxing news subscription and he wasn t interested. She says "well I ll call back" before I could pleasantly tell her to remove the number she hung up. Still keep ringing and Sky scandalously want to charge £3.50 per month to bar it. Saw another user s helpful comment to change the call ID so we know to ignore it, so thanks for that bit of advice.

The same experience as Rob, except that the caller (allegedly BT Open Reach) got further along the line before I realised it was a scam and rang off. However, in that time malware had been installed on my computer and was already beginning to use money in my PayPal account. I have finally rectified this, as well as with my bank. A firm called Office Essential rang and asked if we do start ups for business's.

Multiple calls, never speak to anyone. My number appears to be doing the rounds and I ve recently had several unwanted calls from people with Welsh accents - not sure if this is the same crew. My view is, if they re not prepared to speak to me they re dealing with something I don t want.
