I just terminated the call and reported the number to TPS/ICO
Many calls during the day. Some unanswered. When I did get to speak to someone, they asked for Mr John living at a completely different address. I told them it wasn t me and they hung up immediately. On subsequent calls, I kep asking them to stop as I am not mr John. They just hang up. I m on TPS and ex-directory.

Apparently this number belongs to a firm that has accused people of having debts when they do not, but just as many people have picked up the call to be greeted by silence. I get calls from criminals trying to get information daily so have stopped answering when I do not recognise the calling number.

Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number - similar numbers of the same range are used with lucky winner telemarketing scam, be aware.
Said they were Quick Fit Boilers. Told that the extended warranty on our boiler was due for renewal. We have no such extended warranty - the boiler has been in the house for years. Beware!
