They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. The bank transaction shows as Highgames.Online and the number +44753717396 4691792... which the first part I thought might be a UK phone number, hence my post here. Called my elderly mother s number but I answered. They asked for her by name, I told them she was unavailable and not to call again. Called again two days later and asked if they were speaking to the lady of the house . When I said no he wanted to ask questions anyway. I told im we don t answer questions or do surveys. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 20331881xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident chasers, insurance marketing - "Have you been involved in a car accident that wasn't your fault?". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
SCAM. It could be that the caller ID is being spoofed as also showed 02036126009 at exactly the same time. This may well actually well be from overseas as was an Indian sounding woman with a lot of background call centre noise. And after lots of 'hello's', they eventually mentioned they were calling about BT-Openreach Internet - Which I don't have, so when I said I know this is a scam, they just hung-up!

SCAM Automated call on 10/7/23 at about 10am. Message said from Barclays fraud dept, payment of £800 pound to American on-line gambling noticed on visa account, press button 1 if not me. Thought it was a scam as bank wouldn't send automated call, phoned bank on their known number, bank said not on my visa account scam.
