We have been informed that you were involved in a car accident which wasn't your fault.

Missed the first call from this number around lunchtime. Received a second call at 5:20pm the same day. Thought it was a recruitment agent so answered. Turned out to be an English chap claiming to want to speak to me about a car accident. He knew my full name and postal address. I told him there was no such accident and to remove my details from his database immediately. I then hung up. Something of a worry that he had so many of my personal details.

Scammers from India, East, Europe pretending they are based in London. They say they will help you make money trading stocks. Very persistent. AVOID.

SCAM recorded message female american accent ( synthesised ) purporting to be HMRC on number 02038808798. Threatening legal action if call not returned. Nov 03 2020

Call numerous times daily no one ever speaks until you do. They never say who they are they just keep asking for me to confirm my name. I now just answer phone by saying Hello you have reached battersea dogs home Jack Russell speaking occasionally Al Satian answers too. They put phone down.

Nobody speaks then disconnects. Rung me twice within 2 hours

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12073279xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Some woman with a British accent called and was asking for information about the company I work for. As with any company you work for, don't give out information to people you don't know / are not part of the company.

Same scam as reported above - that my internet connection had been hacked by a site in California, Jenny, from BT, wanted me to go online and required details of all my devices. Gave this tel number as the genuine BT helpline number to contact even though

Caller rang and said his name was David Parker, he had a very heavy Asian accent and sounded like he was in a call centre. He claimed to be from BT and said our broadband connection was insecure. When I asked for a contact number he gave me the number 02032898768. I rang this number and it rang several times then cut off. I realised it was a scam and thought nothing more of it. Then around 4 hours later he phoned again and said had I rang the number as he had been waiting for my call as it was important
