SCAM. Claiming to be Virgin Media saying that my router is sending error messages to their server. This is utter tosh and rot - my router does nothing of the sort! And I think theca centre staff might actually believe that are being employed by Virgin. The same experience as Rob, except that the caller (allegedly BT Open Reach) got further along the line before I realised it was a scam and rang off. However, in that time malware had been installed on my computer and was already beginning to use money in my PayPal account. I have finally rectified this, as well as with my bank. SCAM, called 9.55am 14.7.2021 this is a National Insurance scam, saying youjr NI number is compromised and press 1 to speak to member of staff. Not stupid, missded again.
SCAM : Came up on my phone as 'International' call - though the area code is Folkestone - but by the time I answered it, after three rings, they had rung off.
Asian guy asking me about my postcode. After repeated asking what call was about he says he s from the HR of UK. Then when pressed he says it s for a company with similar name as the one I work for! Then starts asking about what mobile phone I prefer. Hung up! Total scam!
