Called me about cryptocurrency for some reason, and I'm not even british

Scam pretending to be shell energy wanting a payment which is not due yet. Asked for lots of details that they should not have needed. I called shell driectly and they confirmed no money is outstanding and this was not them

Cancelled a subscription last week. They tried to dissuade me but in the end accepted i was resolute in my decision. They called today as i found out from googling the number. As soon as i answered the call was ended. Unsure what reason they would have to be phoning me a week after i have cancelled my subscription.

Got text saying my HSBC card was used fraudulently and wanted my security details . I rang by bank who confirmed this number is from scammers

Suspect untrustworthy. Wanted to offer me a 3 month subscription to the magazine for ?1 an issue (cover price about ?3.50 or so). Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I was driving so said ring back - when she did, I couldn t take the call anyway.

These people have been calling me for weeks. I have told them that I am not the person they are asking for "Mrs Humphries" and asked them numerous times to take me off their list but still they call. As soon s they realise I am not the person they want they disconnect sometimes whilst I am mid sentence. Infuriating!

The same experience as Rob, except that the caller (allegedly BT Open Reach) got further along the line before I realised it was a scam and rang off. However, in that time malware had been installed on my computer and was already beginning to use money in my PayPal account. I have finally rectified this, as well as with my bank. Received an obscene call from this number this evening - young sounding guy with northern accent. He hung up when my husband asked him what he wanted. Fortunately I am too old and experienced to be upset by it, but someone else might not be. Nasty, since he asked for the previous subscriber for this line by name.
