Claimed to be American express offering credit service similar to Experian but from a credit checking company I ve never heard of before. Said had to answer questions before they could send policy. Declined politely as they would not send any information in post without me answering financial questions.
I responded to an e mail advising me I could claim money off my electricity bill. I left details. Now I keep getting sms messages, "I tried to call you today", call this number. I called the number 01242 343001 and immediately put in a queue, I hung up. A few minutes later, phone rang, picked up immediately and heard the auto message again, "I tried to call you today," I am assuming this is a new type of pest, trying a new technique to reel folk in. i am away to block calle

Very strange. Said they were from AA regarding my accident. Said I was due a pay out. They had my home address and other details. I called AA but they didn't know what I was talking about.
Like previous comment I answered because it was local area code English speaking person saying i hsd been involved in a car accident I said no they then said well someone else had and given my details I said then you need speak to that person You are the one who has my details and it's wrong they then hung up

People please did someone answer it? No idea who is behind, no message left on my phone, just few missed calls. Probably some robocaller testing if my number is working? I've just received a cold call from someone that claimed to be from Nationwide. They had my name, and asked for my address and PASSWORD. If this was a genuine call it is an outrage that they asked for my password during an unsolicited cold call.
