I m in Scotland. I received a call from this number while I was at work...couldn t answer. I called back several times, but the line just sounds dead...three beeps. I ve had this kind of thing before from different numbers..usually a PPI-related call. I ve probably missed out on an amazing cash flow injection into my bank account, a once-in-a-lifetime sales opportunity or a fantastic holiday to the Bahamas. But for now, I ve just saved the number as Crank Call and I advise you do the same.

Carried out a survey on my Mum asking bank details, income into household, then asked if she would like to invest ?1000, con company taking advantage of elderly and vulnerable people, do not give out any personal information

Had two calls from this number. They hung up when I asked them to prove who they were in response to being asked for my security details. Spoke to Orange and demanded to have the calls stopped or as a loyal customer I will leave Orange. Lots of excuses but they accepted in end. I will leave if it happens again!

An Asian gentleman said he was from talk talk and needed to check my router. Asked for access to my PC which I reluctantly gave as he was able to give me part of my address and my talk talk account number. Offered me a refund of ?200 but I needed to access my bank account. He had control of my PC so I did not want to do this. Hung up on him as he was too persistent for comfort!!!

Phoned my mobile. I phoned them back. Call came from a company called Fast Claim. Foreiegn sounding gentleman answered and said they d phoned re an accident I had. I asked them how could they know I had had an accident when they didn t even know who was calling them at this moment (hadn t given my name!). They hung up on me! Some kind of scam

Another Vanquis number. The company keep calling me but asking for someone else whom I have never heard of. Despite being told (eventually) that they will remove my number, they always call again, usually from another number.

called me 4 times today usually phones twice a day and hangs up as you answer

after reading the comments it appears vodaphone users seem to be the most affected. I am with Orange.
