Scam HMRC tax rebate due to Covid. HMRC do not have my phone number so quite obvious. Avoid anything referring to Covid unless you know for absolute certain it is genuine. Also, remember Covid jabs are FREE. Dump anything that appears to ask for payment or similar details.

SCAM The call was a 'real' person in a busy call centre purporting to be from Amazon reporting that someone had bought a £45 voucher through my account which they thought was suspicious. I told them I would check my account separately and contact Amazon myself if I saw anything untoward and I hung up. Needless to say there was no gift card purchase on my Amazon account.

I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. SCAM - Told them to take a number off the list as the person has a memory dissorder. Have called daily after that, telling it is the first time they call. Different numbers, but same person called back right after from this number. She called from RCN Investments and if that is true, that she called because the person wrote her number at THEIR webpage- then they have sold the number to several other companies, because the phone is calling several times a day after the day she register on a web-page.
