If you use an insurance comparison site, they will pass your number on to The Claims Guys, who will pester you with calls about reclaiming PPI payments. Use this number on the comparison site to give them a taste of their own medicine, and prevent them from ringing you.

Defo a debt collecting company who purchase statute barred files and then make a nuisance of themselves. They even try to collect for companies that do not exist anymore!!! Beware DO NOT ANSWER their calls!!!!

PPI/Bank Charges claim company. Latest one is Endowment Policies. Aside from just hanging up, I find the best course of action with these guys is to just lie to them. Give them made-up details so they waste their time with fruitless nonsense. Tell them you paid PPI on a Swiss bank account with ?10m in funds given to you by a Nigerian prince. Keep calm and tell absurd lies, and this kind of call actually starts to be a lot of fun!

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The same experience as Rob, except that the caller (allegedly BT Open Reach) got further along the line before I realised it was a scam and rang off. However, in that time malware had been installed on my computer and was already beginning to use money in my PayPal account. I have finally rectified this, as well as with my bank.
