Claimed to be from BT Openreach, when I asked where he got my number from he threw a load of verbal abuse at me to which I responded that he's obviously not from BT Openreach and hung up.
Received an obscene call from this number this evening - young sounding guy with northern accent. He hung up when my husband asked him what he wanted. Fortunately I am too old and experienced to be upset by it, but someone else might not be. Nasty, since he asked for the previous subscriber for this line by name.

I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. Scam HMRC tax rebate due to Covid. HMRC do not have my phone number so quite obvious. Avoid anything referring to Covid unless you know for absolute certain it is genuine. Also, remember Covid jabs are FREE. Dump anything that appears to ask for payment or similar details.
