Think this was a scam, it took a while to connect and then went through to a call centre. I asked who it was and then it hung up.

Called back in answer to message left saying I had a sub renewal taking place. Know nothing about it! Mumbled answer to call. Clearly a dodgy number.

Indian/Pakistani ? man called to say my BT service Lloyds Bank Direct Debit needed verifying, I played along and gave false numbers on my debit card (to see how far they wished to go), they already new my name , address, phone number. Well, actually I don't bank at Lloyds anyway!, they then asked for my DOB, so I gave a false one of course. Then they offered me a 50% discount for 5 years on my account (that's mighty generous what). I was handed over to a CLOSER manager who said my card

"James" from Shell. Called me out of the blue on my personal number. I asked why he called, said he didn't. Blocked.
