There are some dodgy people going around London fixing stickers to peoples doorbells and front doors that say "24/7 LOCKSMITH 07379 253 353". There have been news reports that these type of stickers are used by criminals to identify which properties can later be burgled. This may or may not be the case with these stickers but any locksmith that advertises by sticking stickers on other peoples property without permission, are untrustworthy in my book. Apparent unsolicited mortgage marketing call. They identified themselves as "Mortgage Review". Refused to answer my questions about who they were and what they wanted and why they had called, insisting I should identify myself first. They then tried to get me to put my wife on the line, becoming more and more irate. I would expect legitimate callers to identify themselves and their business before demanding information.
