Claiming to be from Carphone warehouse. Male with strong Indian accent named STEVEN clearly a scam.

Very dangerous they are scam folk trying to put a virus on your computer and when the virus installs the program that will encrypt all your files and your computer will be as useless as a waterproof teabag and can no longer access your computer unless you pay a ransom fee off over ?1,000 to put it right These guys are not from Microsoft !!!!!!

A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called Steel Plus 1, based in Romford, Essex.

The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.

A complete pain! Keep calling about an accident two years ago. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate. Where s the law when you need it?

When pressed to reveal from whom they obtained my details and pointed out the potential fraudulent nature of their practices the caller hung up
