I blocked this number and a very similar number (one digit different) after calls from both numbers to my mother. Both callers claimed to be from Clearwater Home Services, calling about the "nuisance calls to your account". A quick search showed a company of this name in the US. Mum doesn't have an account with an organisation of this name. I am guessing that these were amongst a long line of scam calls, claiming Mum has an account that needs to be renewed, card details verified etc.,

I am the first to comment but I notice I m the 176th person who has tried to find out of this is a dodgy scam/marketing call. I would say the chances are quite high that it is. Let your telephone do the work. If there is no voicemail left then there is no urgency to speak with them!

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. Loads of calls no message ever left. tried to phone it back today and kept getting a message saying I was in queue position 1., didn t hold on for too long - is it just a premium rate dialler?
Had a call from this number earlier today claiming to be Amazon security. Said that I had an order for over £300 on hold and did I want to cancel this, if so give them my mobile number so that they could reimburse my account. Told them that there was no such order and that I would check with Amazon myself and that I believed that they were scammers at which point they terminated the call. Did the check, nothing untoward on my account. Will report this to Amazon.
