The criminals started early today, making this call om an invented number at just after 8 a.m. Nobody spoke but they did not have to. Responding to these calls - which of late have consisted of recorded messages saying ny broadband is going to be disconnected - would be dangerous.
When I answer, it rings another number so I cut it off before that one was answered. I can only imagine this works as a reverse charge call because effectively you end up calling them. I have been called once a day for the past week by this number. Guess it is an advertising call centre or something. But will probably never find out because I cut them off.

Recorded voice message of a well spoken elderly gentlemen saying the call was from National Crime Agency, my national insurance number is linked to multiple crimes and I should press 1 to speak to an officer immediately. Clearly a bogus call, I doubt the National Crime Agency would ring from a mobile number. No idea what they are up to but nothing legal I dare say.
All day all night please stop it, this is the 4th day, my moral is very low, won’t be able to take much more.

I am receiving calls from this number every single work day, sometimes in the early evening and more than once a day. The first one was an obvious sales call and now I leave the answer phone on. There is never any messages left, but as we work nights I don't need calls during the day. Why is cold calling not illegal?

I phoned the number - said they were a Utility discount company or words to the effect that they give quotes for cheaper utilities.. the woman answering did not recongnise “domain bureau” - which suggests what? I spoke to George at Insure me online. He was actually very professional, and it was to do with a life insurance enquiry that I made online. I did tell him about me Googling his number as I didn t recognise it, and we had a bit a joke about why I would spend my time searching for his number, when it s so much easier to just pick up the phone. ...anyway, he seemed like a nice chap, so my advice to anyone else is just to pick up the phone and see what he has to say.
