SCAM - Told them to take a number off the list as the person has a memory dissorder. Have called daily after that, telling it is the first time they call. Different numbers, but same person called back right after from this number. She called from RCN Investments and if that is true, that she called because the person wrote her number at THEIR webpage- then they have sold the number to several other companies, because the phone is calling several times a day after the day she register on a web-page.

SCAM The call was a 'real' person in a busy call centre purporting to be from Amazon reporting that someone had bought a £45 voucher through my account which they thought was suspicious. I told them I would check my account separately and contact Amazon myself if I saw anything untoward and I hung up. Needless to say there was no gift card purchase on my Amazon account.

Subcontinental-sounding told me I needed a box to stop nuisance calls - two pounds fifty a month for three years! Caller Display does it much cheaper and I don t usually answer calls from 0845- numbers. Curious this time.

I play them at their own game.....their on commotion so every second wasted hurts them, so I play along giving them false details then after about ten mins I start to ask sexually explicate questions about them, their girl/boy friends and there mums......they don t know how to react when you ask if they prefer to wax or shave the bikini line......then I tell them I have to go as their mums out of the shower and ready to go at it hard again .....they actually put YOU on the block list if you waist THEIR time

I m in Scotland. I received a call from this number while I was at work...couldn t answer. I called back several times, but the line just sounds dead...three beeps. I ve had this kind of thing before from different numbers..usually a PPI-related call. I ve probably missed out on an amazing cash flow injection into my bank account, a once-in-a-lifetime sales opportunity or a fantastic holiday to the Bahamas. But for now, I ve just saved the number as Crank Call and I advise you do the same.

Several calls today, i managed to make one last 37 mins whilst i did other things. That is 37 other calls they couldn't make. RESULT

A scam at 8:02 in the morning. Automated call claimed to be my internet provider (did not say which one) and that due to illegal activity on my line would close my link in the next 24 to 48 hours unless I pressed 1 on the phone keypad (which I declined to do). I did not respond but left line open until caller ended the call.

Phoned my mobile. I phoned them back. Call came from a company called Fast Claim. Foreiegn sounding gentleman answered and said they d phoned re an accident I had. I asked them how could they know I had had an accident when they didn t even know who was calling them at this moment (hadn t given my name!). They hung up on me! These people keep calling me but when i speak they do not seem to hear me. I ve now got caller ID and will not answer them again. They are ringing at least twice every day but i think the delay means that they are not in this country. Really really annoying. I am planning to call Pet Plans head office on Monday and complain.
