I am a solicitor. I received a call 28.7.17 at 11:33am about an accident I did not have soliciting that I in effect make a claim. The call is obviously deceit/fraudulent based, and based on weaving a fabrication to make false claims. When the caller realised I had both a brain and was honest they hang up before I could chew the callers head off metaphorically.

Asian type voice called about our computer - surprise surprise. We kept her talking for almost 3 minutes pretending we were grateful for her help. When asked what we could see on the screen (we didn t switch it on) we used the well used phrase beware Asians asking about your computer . She promptly ended the call.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Rang my elderly father at 5.55am. Automated voice says "please hang up"

No caller ID , no message nor txt left , a fairly obvious nuisance call . After so many Police advise call screening .

If they call unexpectedly be aware someone could be trying to do something with your account. Don?t just ignore.

My 81 year old father was targeted and asked to insure his 4 year old Indesit washing machine. Unwittingly he set up a d.debit which he cancelled the next day, with the bank, when he realised he already had cover. He rang Appliance Serve and told them too, he was asked to put it in writing which he did. He is now getting calls about his non payment and they are threateneing court action as they said they hadn t received a phone call or letter. Total fraudsters targeting the elderly. #scammers
