Fraud - pretended to be from Nationwide to flag fraudulent activity, rang the bank back who confirmed that nothing had been flagged on my account and no calls had been made from the bank to me.

Number rang me saying it was for an O2 upgrade and when i caught him out on being a scam he kept calling me back from numbers which my phone said was in random countries. O2 would not be persistent for 5 minutes repeatedly calling me from different numbers. Pushy, annoying and fake.
Number came up as "The Graham Arms Inn". Caller claimed to represent Vodafone but was unable to tell me my name (I'm a Vodafone customer). When pressed for an answer he hung up.

I had a phone call from this number today (25/02/2022-17:17) (0161-520-1872 !!!) The person on the line asked for me by name. Which seem very odd to me. As this is a number that I did not know. And told me that he calling to ask if my home had any damaged from the recent bad weather we have had. When I then asked him on how he got my personal number. they asked for email addresses, and personal information, tried to tell me it is for covid survey
Didn't answer. Looked it and and over a dozen reports of various scam attempts including pretending to be HMRC.
text message said to be from Santander with a passcode and " if you did not request a code call us on 0204586498." This does not appear to be a bank .
This caller informed me that two high cost debits had been taken from my bank account. i was instructed to phone back on the number and speak to an advisor. No bank identity was given. My name was not given PHISHING Call blocked and reported

DON'T SPEAK if you don't recognise the number - JUST LISTEN, wait for them to speak first. If the caller just hangs up or only a crackling noise is heard and then hangs up, then congratulations you've just escaped being scammed. Well done!
