Oriental sounding woman called who had my full name, telling me that the UK pension rules had changed and that the call was from the Government to advise me on those changes. Asked about what kind of pensions I had. At that point I politely ended the call. seemed to be a fact finding call about me for nefarious reasons. If I want pension advice I can speak to a qualified advisor or look at a website. Sounded as if the call was scripted as she couldn t / wouldn t answer my questions.
And a fake number, 12 digits, too many to be valid in the UK.
This no. didn't get through my Call Blocker phone interrogation so will be put into my permanently blocked list.
Spam call on my mobile so gave them my Robot automated voice Ha Ha and hung up, call now blocked....

Energy Green Deal - she said this was the company name though I can t find it on Google. Phoned to offer me a fully qualified surveyor to check my windows and doors for any unnecessary heat loss and just leave me that information, plus if there s anyone between ages of 58 and 85 living in the house we will also qualify for the funding , just to keep for the future as a sort of lifeline if you like if we do decide to change anything in the future. She did give me their office number, which was the same as 1
Paid number. Received a voicemail from a woman speaking a foreign language that I do not speak after not answering. The voicemail was the same as one I received from a different paid number. Pretty sure that this is a scam (I have no reason to receive so many similar calls from different numbers), either one which expects you to call back in confusion so you can be charged or one that will try to scam you if you do pick it up.

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Believe that this number could be associated with Bank Payment scams. I had an automated call from the bank stating that they has identified to suspicions payments against my account and would I confirm 'yes'; or 'no'. When I confirmed that I knew nothing about them I was put through this number which was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member of the Bank Fraud team.
