SCAM This number called me today claiming to be from the carphone warehouse, i told them i didn't have an account with them they proceeded to say they knew and offered me a 'good deal' i said i was happy with my supplier! Caller claimed to be from BT openreach calling about internet issues. They asked me to run a speed test and when I said I had 69 download and 18 upload they said that the difference was an issue. When I pointed out that it was always like that, and wasn't supposed to be the same they hung up. Obviously a scam.

Amazon scammer. Told me someone hacked my Amazon account and ordered a £754 iPhone. Sent me a code in a text and asked for this code. A mans voice announced that we had 2 unauthorised transactions on our bank account - quoted two amounts - then it was press 1, press 2 etc etc. Checked our account and nothing unauthorised there.
Automated call pretending to be some security department. Total scam so just hung up.
Possible scam. Women said she was from Amazon and they'd noticed unusual activity on my Mum's account. Told her to press 1 if she hadn't bought something for £700. Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

Safe number I missed the call but I believe it was the NHS. After looking at the stats on this and other sites, I decided to ring the number back. The automatic answer mentioned the NHS website and the initials of a local healthboard. For me it was a callback from 111.
The number 0731519223 rang me at 6.30pm Australian time & the caller used some very nasty language ie "You are nothing but a f-----g c--t" over & over numerous times. This s not acceptable in this day & age. I am male & I am so glad my wife didn't answer the phone & be subjected to such filth.

I kept asking her for her details but she then asked me if I had a mobile phone. This would have been dangerous if I had let her download any app or software to my phone

Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.
This is a scam: They pretend to be family and then ask you to pay 2 bills and they’ll pay you back.
