I called the help line 0800 085 095, of Santander my mortgage provider from my landline to make enquiries about the final payment of my mortgage. I was transferred to another line where it was suggested that I could make the final payment immediately by cards associated with my account. Have seen different reasons of individual calls, just be aware that one number used by the same call centre can be after short period of time used for another purpose.
