Call saying owed airport taxes for aer lingus flight booked thru cheapOair.co.uk. Adamant that I needed to open invoice they would email to me. Got suspicious by caller having Indian accent, Irish name and claiming to be American. Aer lingus confirmed nothing wrong with me booking

It was a woman who said she was from microsoft and that my pc had been sending them reports it had been hacked. The pc hasn't been on for weeks and microsoft software doesn't send these reports. This is a scam to get them access to your computer. Do not give them any personal information.
I couldn't understand the Indian sounding voice so hung up. So far they have phoned twice in the last two days and several times in the past. The strange thing about this number is the area code 01950 does not fit with the 693572 telephone number. 01950 codes telephone numbers start with 431, 460, 461, 422 or 477.
