Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, insurance marketing - mostly form this call centre : nexbridge.co.uk. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?
Fraud This number pretends to be from Carphone Warehouse and makes phone deals. It's a SCAM
Automated voice told me my BT Internet was going to be cut off by the end of the day. If I didn't want this to happen I should press 1. Luckily for me I don't have BT Internet and so instantly knew it was a scam.

100% the police: following up on a case that they are investigating on my behalf, all information matches up as does the follow-up conversation when I called them back. This number is not specific to a particular police station - while someone mentions Acton above, mine was Westminster - it s still the police though.
