Got a call from these guys...No-one knows this number...only use it as a data tether...just randomly calling mobile numbers...

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. I am surprised nobody else has clicked on to this yet......Doesn t sound too dodgy to me. Obviously Adrian has opted for no marketing calls from Carphone Warehouse themselves. This call came about half an hour after the last, and was easily recognisable because of the usual crackling. I bellowed "Hello" loudly enough to burst the caller s eardrums, and that put an end to it. The number used by these criminals, who want me to allow them to infect my computer, was as fictitious as the previous one had been.

Phoned my mobile but hung up as soon as voicemail kicked in which is a good indication that the call is a waste of time as it is a wrong number, an idiot or a crook with a crook...
