Claimed to be our "local, government-appointed" energy consultants. Claimed fibreglass loft insulation can cause damp and mould and result in reduced energy efficiency. Wanted to send someone to inspect the loft. Told them I wasn't interested. I see the phone number is registered 100+ miles from where I live, so not very local then! This is apparently a common scam.
I have been called repeatedly from this number and earlier this week asked very politely to be removed from their calling list. Since requesting this I was called 8 times yester...

Scam call to get into your internet connection.
Automated Call ? Young male voice saying they're from Insulation Advisory Services, trying to get you to have a loft insulation survey. It's a clever automated system, that listens for you to say something in response to it's questions , but it is unable to react properly to your random questions. It fails the "Turing Test", but that doesn't make it any less annoying. They've phoned me 4 times in the last 2 days so far.
Clearly Indian gentleman claiming to be from BT and saying that my internet connection was slow. I told him it was fine and he hung up without another word.

Kept on getting calls to my landline from this number. The caller keeps on asking for a Mr Clark. I have informed them many times that this person does not live at this address and to stop calling me. It is very frustrating when you keep on receiving these nuisance calls, especially when my number is ex-directory and I have registered it with TPS.
Claiming they have authority to suspend my national insurance number!! Block!

SCAM- Usual, increasingly repetitive and tedious recorded call claiming to be from BT who are, shock, horror, swoon, about to cut off my internet. Crooks. Very suspicious callers. Claiming to be a Pensions firm asking for personal details including even your Nat Ins number which I did not divulge to them. Their response was to say "we cannot proceed any further without this". They do have English accents. My suspicions are confirmed when I try to call back on this number - phone just goes dead. If these people are not scammers - they do a very good impression of scammers.
