Scam. Claims to be from HSBC trying to warn me about an unauthorised payee request. Honestly, as if times aren't hard enough without these scum bags trying to steal from working people. Lazy too as it comes from a normal mobile number. They should be ashamed of themselves on several levels. Lazy, thieving and incompetent. I don't know which one is worse.
02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. I asked where he was calling from but couldn’t understand what he said, put him on loudspeaker and asked again and no one in my office could understand what he said? Asked him where he got details - said from database but could not say what. Told him should at the minimum his company should be vetting against telephone preference service. Just been contacted by this number,claimed to be from(cooperative energy)asking for an up to date reading of my meters.I normally supply them online at the beginning of the month(which is only 2 days away) I gave them the readings and then they asked if they were located inside or outdoors.They also asked if they were accessible to an engineer should they need to call????????
