Fraud. A recorded voice told me that my visa card was being used to purchase something in the region of £600. I was supposed to press '1' but the voice didn't say what for!! I tried calling the number but it doesn't exist. Beware!

SCAM Robocall left partial message on my answerphone saying their fraud department had noticed a suspicious charge for £800 on my Visa card for online gambling in America. They had put the transaction on hold and if I wanted to reject the charge to press 1 and speak to their fraud department. Clearly a scam as I have no Visa cards.

Miss No idea who. Not Crewe phone number. Is Crewe area code, spoofed number. I ignored call. No voice message left. No text or email received either. Similar numbers have called before and I don't answer as end numbers after 01270 are not from within Crewe itself. I know as in Crewe myself. Definite scam. Claimed (falsely) to be Harry from Carphonewarehous3 in London calling because "we have a special offer on new phones today". I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? No bank name was given. apparently there were two transactions going through on my card, one for Amazon and another larger sum was an international money transfer.
