How do they obtain your number?Are companies selling our mobile numbers to them?

Answered the call, they just hung up

Had a call from this number today firstly on my mobile which I managed to reject. It immediately then rang my landline which I didn t answer. Who are these people and how did they get my mobile number? When you ring the number back they don t identify themselves and ask you to leave a message. Sounds very dodgy so be aware.

Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. IT’S EASY TO STOP THESE CALLS!!! Simply answer the call and pretend to be interested in what they are offering. You will probably be passed to a "manager" who will arrange for someone to visit you. Go along with it, make the appointment and when the salesman turns up tell him you are not interested and have wasted their time because they are wasting yours by ignoring the law and cold calling you. They hate having their time wasted This has worked for me and gives you a great feeling of having got them back
