British Gas. calling me for months. First from Manchester. Got apology. then it starts again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRITISH GAS. Claimed to be our "local, government-appointed" energy consultants. Claimed fibreglass loft insulation can cause damp and mould and result in reduced energy efficiency. Wanted to send someone to inspect the loft. Told them I wasn't interested. I see the phone number is registered 100+ miles from where I live, so not very local then! This is apparently a common scam.
Automated call saying they are from visa debit.
Not sure as no one on other end!

The taped message was poorly recorded and there were several breaks and skips in it. It played 3 or 4 times continuously before I ended the call. I didn't wait for the end of the message. Got the same call like everyone else. As a trained insurance expert with 25 years experience, I asked them for the date of the accident (having not had an accident in the last 10 years) but they didn t know. I asked which company they were calling from and they said they were calling as they were my insurers. I asked them the name of the insurers and they hung up. I am sick and tired of dealing with claims brought by ambulance chasers such as this. Compensation culture at its finest.
