Had a call from 02035534016 turns out to be the Leicester Air Ambulance.

A woman cold-called asking about my "recent accident". There hadn t been one. She was fishing for information, but one wonders where she got the phone number. Their number is now blocked.

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! It is High time BT themselves did something about this type of call as it has been going on for a very long time.Do not be fooled, it is a SCAM which potentially will relieve you of large amounts of your money!!

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. They are a company of scammers who make money in various ways out of people who answer their calls. Do not answer their calls. Add 08005979840 to your phones blocked list.

They called me back in May offering an extra 3 GB of data for free but then my contact was reduced from 6GB to 4GB AND my bill went up £10. I did call Vodafone to sort it and they were very helpful and even refunded me. They called again today offering a free phone upgrade. Really scary how they can do this.
