Got a call from this number earlier saying my national insurance number was used for some kind of fraud

Scam call with automated voice message attempting to distill an unwarrented sense of fear or wrong doing, for actions you haven't comitted. Please ensure you block this scam number.

Fraud Caller had a strong accent and spoke poor english. There was a lot of background noise as you would expect from a call centre. Asked to speak to my husband but did not mention his first name. Claimed to be from the Fraud dept of Visa Debit but did not say which bank had issued the card. She asked for no security checks. Spoke about unauthorised transaction. Automated voice telling me that there was an arrest warrant out in my name for tax evasion. Press 1 for more information. Just hung up.

It’s automated when you answer, claims there’s tax fraud against your name and to press 1 to stop a warrant being issued for your arrest. Pressed 1 and a foreign women answer saying it’s HMRC and if your working or self employed. Ask for my name and when i said for them to tell me as they were the one who called the line goes dead

Supposedly the NatWest fraud squad wanting you to press Y (yes) or N (no) on your phone to verify whether transactions on your account are legimate. FRAUD.

Voice message alleging fraudulent action would be taken against me and I would be arrested unless I rang a number given in 1 minute. Closed the call down immediately.

Caller said they were from HMRC saying there is a fraud connected to my mobile number. Press 1 on keypad else the police will arrest you.

Apparently, according to recorded voice, the National Crime Agency are going to suspend my National Insurance number and arrest me. This is unlikely. This is the only one of 4 unknown calls from Vodafone numbers I have answered in the last couple of days but suspect all of the same ilk.
