HMRC tax fraud scammers. Recorded message telling me to "Press 1" to speak to an advisor, otherwise they'll issue a warrant for my arrest!

Pre-recorded message claiming to be BT threatening that my broadband would be cut off.

started just over a year ago with constant automatic calls on landline offering oven cleaning, I just hung up and eventually they gave up, recently started to calls from similar number above but same company, I ignored and have barred it.

This no. Also called this morning when I was out, but I did 1471 to ascertain the phone number and read all your comments. It is very interesting that several of your comments relating to this number, I have just received in the past week, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day; such as the comment about it being a Californian compromise on the internet, but also supposedly BT IT Desk! Additional tel nos using the same type of scams are 0151 677 3594, 01159101830.

Call three or four times a day - never answered, apart from first call (months ago now). That was for PPI. They are getting on my nerves - and, as I suffer from severe anxiety, making my condition worse. Don't answer this number. Ever.

I rang the number back and the recorded message played as follows "We are a company called Advice Direct and are an outbound call centre. We deal with marketing campaigns and do not take incoming calls".
