scammer texted me from this number with a false Hermes parcel delivery message.
The owner of this number trawls through car sales lists (like freeads, autotrader etc) and bombards sellers with texts to visit a web site (www.sellitous.co.uk) to get a valuation and sell their car.
Reported on other sites, trying to sell and get you to pay for an expired service, which you probably didn t have. Asked for individual by name, and rudely hung up when asked for theirs. Avoid talking to them

SCAM: First of all, an automated male voice saying ' Hello, Customer, an ipad has been added to your Amazon account'. The taped message was poorly recorded and there were several breaks and skips in it. It played 3 or 4 times continuously before I ended the call. I didn't wait for the end of the message. I don't have, or ever have had, an Amazon account. Supposedly calling from Wolverhampton.
Turned off after a few seconds after picking it up. Nobody was speaking.

The individual announced themselves as Alpine Group but having recently received a call from another similar number last week, I told the female caller to STOP THERE! then hung up. I get this call sometimes 5 times a week, morning 9.30 and 1.00. Do not respond to anyone who calls you, that you do not know... There are plenty of scammers about.
SCAM Claiming to be from Amazon asking for my IP address!
Claimed to be our "local, government-appointed" energy consultants. Claimed fibreglass loft insulation can cause damp and mould and result in reduced energy efficiency. Wanted to send someone to inspect the loft. Told them I wasn't interested. I see the phone number is registered 100+ miles from where I live, so not very local then! This is apparently a common scam.
This is the Ibis (Accor) hotels contact centre. They called me at my request.
