Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. That when I realised it was a scam and they needed my account details which they did not get.
I am currently paying off some small debt amounts. This number called me and said that I would have missed a payment. I meant that you should submit to me by letter and hung up. Nothing came by letter. Is this a rip off?
