Won't stop ringing

SCAM Indian woman pretending to be BT saying that there were multiple unknown IP addresses connected to our internet. Tried to get me to go into the terminal of my computer and started inserting ridiculous stuff. As soon as I asked BT to email me officially and we take it from there, she went silent and hung up.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - scam PPI calls. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! Answered and lady who i spoke to said she was from the review centre and it was regarding my life insurance with Legal and General (I've never had insurance with them). She had my maiden name and correct birth date. I told her she was working from old information as my life insurance is under my married name and not with L&G. She then hung up.

Received a call saying I was owed £3850 from a previous PPI claim (which had already been settled). Indian gentleman said he was Alex Carter from the County Court of London, 227 The Strand. I had a subsequent call from Francis Anderson, same voice, same tone, probably the same person. I was told to hand over iTunes vouchers for £150 when the cheque would be hand delivered to me. I said I would pay these solicitor fees 7 days after the cheque had cleared in my account, he hung up! Incredibly dodgy, please be

22/08/16 Same issue -got contract of employment through and offer letter but luckily havent paid for the security check but am concerned personal data being comprised. Reporting to trading standards tomorrow
