Showed up as international call and the voice was a transatlantic male one. He sounded like a recording even though he wasn't, and was very slick - when I corrected him for addressing me by my husband's name he said he was 'a little dyslexic' to try to wrong-foot me. He tried to tell me about a door and window replacement scheme. As he knew my address I asked him to write to me about it - of course he won't!
Purports to be from BT ? Indian woman wanting to know about certain numbers ! SCAM !!! Lots of uk numbers seem to be hijacked or re routed through Indian call centres !!!

Had a call from this number, identified itself as Humberside Police to my call barring service but then cut off when I tried to answer. Line went dead when tried to recall. Called police, they had no record of anyone trying to ring my number nor did they recognise this 56677 number. The registered message said there were from HMRC Revenue and Customs but when I press 1 to speak the operator the line dropped.
