Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. Calling at least 3 times a day for over a week, hang up when the answer phone comes on. Now blocked thanks to details on her.
My call intercepter did not put this call through. There has to be a person on the end of the line not just an autodialling system as they have to give a name before it is transferred to me to accept or decline. Sorry I am unable to shed any light as to who this firm is, but I guess it is cold call selling (despite being registered with TPS) or could be a scam, either way I do not want to have anything to do with them.
Another call from The People s Opinion representing the leading brands etc. London number but it s not: "Paul Connor" who in common with all his colleagues, had a heavy Asian accent, admitted that he was calling from South East Asia. As usual I asked for my number to be deleted from their calling database. I stand a better chance of meeting the Pope or the Queen for tea.
