Very similar to everyone else. Had a phone call saying that I was wanted for Tax avoidance and that they were issuing a warrant out for my arrest if I didn?t pay. Seeing as my tax is paid through PAYE I know there?s no issue with my tax. However the tone in which the call is made is quite aggressive if someone is not used to this kind of con. Promptly put phone down.

They ring all day, i've answered once - no-one spoke but I could hear chatter in background. Hung up and don't bother answering it now.

Been having loads of calls from 0156 prefixed numbers. All say variations of "you have been a victim of fraud so your phone/broadband/gas/whatever account will be cancelled...

This Asian prat, after asking me my name said in a thick Paki accent. "I have not rung to tell you anything" So I said in that case **** Off and put the phone down. But I was right; this cretin is from Londonistan where 4 out of five residents are from foreign descent. I know of no one in London so why ring me if it s not to try and con money out of me. Asked where she got my number she said Road Traffic Accident Department which obviously is twaddle, or there own internal RTA department. When pressed repeatedly about the department she put the phone down. Shame, I was just getting warmed up.

Fast talking wanted my free available B&B rooms to sell, does not allow you to talk just wants her questions answered, when she asked a private information question I started to say "No I cannot tell you that" well I got to the No and she said oke tnx and slammed the phone down on me(How rude). And then they wander why next time I get a sales person on the phone I will slam it down!! This way they will destroy telesales jobs.

I was called by someone calling himself "Yogi" allegedly from Carphone Warehouse and I renewed my contract through him with Vodafone. The incentive being a substantial cash back deal. The cheques never appeared and Vodafone do not know anything about the deal (so they say). Vodafone are refusing to honour the deal and I have reported them to trading standards and the communications commission as they are saying they cannot see on their system who renewed the contract.
