I get about 3 calls a week from these debts collectors called Capquest. They are silent and harassing calls to do with student loan repayments. Ignore all calls and tell tem to put everything in writing, then you can use the paper as fire starters......job done.

English sounding girl calling from she claimed to be Britains biggest Domestic Insurance company. She put the phone down immediately after I said "Excuse me, who are you?". She knew my name which surprised me. And I say "But, ..." and she put the phone down. No UK Insurance company will cold call you or put the phone down.
Said they were the Energy Advice Centre, offering to come and review my loft insulation for free and may be able to fix issues as part of government scheme (may be The Great British Insulation Scheme, which is a legitimate scheme). Didn't agree a time for them to come so couldn't say if the company is any good
Sitting at home, ill after being sent home from work, I receive a call from these clowns. Starts babbling on about how they can reduce my "debt" by 70% before I d even had the time to draw breath. I told the little gimp that I was registered with the TPS, he replied "I ll just check that". I replied "no need to check little boy I m telling you and I m also telling you to not call me again otherwise I ll report you". This number continually calls claiming to be Scottish Power, who want payment for a final bill. Every call quotes a different figure due. At no point can they tell you the address to which this scam is referring to, but the do try to get you to confirm your address to them. The become agitated and aggressive once they realise that you know it is a scam.
