An extremely rude man (possibly antipodean accent) identified himself as being from the "Credit Protection Association", asking for our MD. My request for the reason for his call was met with abuse, so I ceased conversing with him. When I phoned back the number to make a complaint, I was met with a recorded message telling me I had received a marking call from the Credit Protection Association before it disconnected my call.

SCAM, judging by the many comments left on other look-up numbers. At 08:13 a male voice said he was BT Technical Department. We are not with BT so I put the phone down. The same number rang at 08:22. Harrats in Wakefield. I regularly get calls from this number, and every time I request my number be deleted permanently from their records. Never works. I have threatened them with taking it to the data commissioner, next time they call I will ask to be put in touch with a senior manager and express to them that they are breaking the law by ignoring to take head of my request to be removed from their database and never be contacted
