It’s a scam, claimed to be from a bank and not enough funds in bank to complete transactions. Very bad line and eventually the caller hung up, daughter rang number back and it’s not recognised.

Mistakenly answered - it simply clicked off - presumably adding our number to endless harrassers' databases. Luckily, another call I'd missed is also now continually dialling dailly (despite answering), so I can safely (once more) ignore them all. I remember when the phone used to be a means of communication, rather than intrusion - targeting the most vulnerable. This one's probably dangerous.

Amy from Amazon (with an Indian accent and obviously from a call centre) said that there had been purchases of gift cards from my Amazon account and was it me who had made them? I said I would not respond to a call centre phone call and hung up. Checked my Amazon account and there were no recent transactions, so obviously a scam.

Called me several times, insisting I had opted in. I used their website contact form to complain and to my surprise got a reply offering to tell me where they got my details, BUT for a fee of 10.00! They also said my numbers had been removed but they ve just called my mobile... They are now blocked. TPS/OFCOM/ICO are useless so long as these people can claim you have opted in. There needs to be a mechanism for checking and revoking opt-ins. Or better still make the default on all websites opt-OUT,
Was sure that it was a Canadian cousin then accepted it wasnt. Asked for £9.00 odd etc etc due to bill , didnt make any sense. 100% REAL SCAM ALERT! His name is George Williams. Together with his wife Georgia they are running a scam construction company I ended up working for. Basically what they do is hire you and not pay you what you have agreed on. So far their actions cost them dearly over the money they did not pay me in wages but the real price for their actions is yet to be paid as I no longer take scumbags to court.
